A Calling Rooted in Purpose
For Demeara Virgil, entrepreneurship is more than business—it’s ministry. As the founder of Kweenduhm, a faith-centered brand rooted in empowerment, healing, and intentionality, Demeara has created a sacred space for women to rediscover their worth. Kweenduhm is not just a name—it’s a movement, a mindset, and a manifestation of resilience.
Her mission is clear: to help women speak life, embrace identity, and confront generational pain without shame. Whether through journals, apparel, podcasts, or prayer collections, Demeara’s message remains the same—healing is holy, and purpose is within reach.
Turning Trials into Transformation
Demeara’s decision to launch Kweenduhm was deeply personal. Inspired by her own journey through emotional burden, societal pressure, and generational trauma, she envisioned a platform where other women could find refuge. She knew from lived experience how hard it can be to carry invisible weight.
What began as a calling turned into a commitment—to create a space for truth, growth, and faith-led leadership. “I wanted a platform where we could stand in our truth, embrace our worth, and speak life into every situation, no matter the challenges we face,” she says.
Faith as the Framework
Balancing motherhood, business, and self-care wasn’t easy. In fact, Demeara describes finding balance as the hardest part of building Kweenduhm. It took deep faith and intentional boundaries. She leaned into prayer, asking God for clarity and the courage to follow through on the vision He gave her.
“God has always been my mentor,” she says. “Every step I’ve taken with Kweenduhm has been guided by His promises and presence.” That spiritual connection continues to inform her decisions, content, and leadership style.
Leading with Integrity
Demeara’s approach to leadership is rooted in authenticity. She didn’t grow up with a clear roadmap to business success, but she grew with God. That relationship, along with real-life experience, helped shape her into a leader who listens first, acts with care, and never forgets why she started.
She sees Kweenduhm as more than a brand—it’s a community. Her products include journals, prayer books, candles, apparel, and home decor, all infused with meaning. The Sacred Space Collection invites women to curate healing environments in their homes, while her podcast and artwork foster conversation and personal connection.

Creating Space for Women to Heal
Kweenduhm is designed specifically with Black women in mind—women who’ve been silenced, overlooked, or told to shrink. Demeara understands the layers of pain that can come from generational trauma and how difficult it is to start the healing process. That’s why her work meets women where they are—with grace, not judgment.
“I want women to know they don’t have to carry it all,” she says. “There is power in asking for help, in slowing down, and in choosing themselves.”
A Movement for the Future
Over the next five years, Demeara plans to grow Kweenduhm into a household brand known not only for its faith-based products but also for its commitment to philanthropy and emotional restoration. She envisions targeted programs for women rebuilding after trauma, and partnerships that uplift voices typically unheard.
Through it all, she remains committed to her mission of empowering women to walk in purpose and reject the limiting narratives society places on them.
Mentorship Through Obedience
While Demeara credits God as her greatest mentor, she also emphasizes the importance of community. She encourages young Black women in entrepreneurship to trust the process—even the hard parts—and never to underestimate the strength of their vision.
“You are more than enough,” she tells them. “Don’t let the world decide your worth. You carry the dreams of your ancestors and the strength to change everything.”
She advises future entrepreneurs to seek mentorship, build boundaries, and always prioritize alignment over applause.

A Legacy of Healing
Demeara’s ultimate goal is to leave a legacy—a trail of light for women learning to love themselves again. Through Kweenduhm, she hopes to remind women that their pain has purpose, their voice has value, and their life has meaning.
She doesn’t just sell products—she plants seeds. Each journal, podcast episode, and design carries the intention to restore.
“You don’t have to have it all figured out,” she says. “Just be willing to grow, to heal, and to keep going. God will do the rest.”
